One in five internet users 55 to 64 said they’ve used a relationship app or support, according to a January 2018 survey from technology and research firm Morning Consult. That amount is just 1 in 10 for people 65 and older. Along with the overall number of 55- to 64-year-olds who have dipped in 50 and dating sites or mobile dating programs climbed to 12% in 2016 from 6 percent in 2013, according to the Pew Research Center.

There’s plenty of books, blogs, webinars and podcasts which may help you better understand internet relationship. Also ask friends about their adventures, suggests Spira.
In her classes, Williams reviews the gaps among 50 plus dating sites, like explaining that some use swipes for games, while others use quizzes.
Be tactical
Sticking with you to three 50 and dating sites is best, as any longer may feel overwhelming to manage, » said the specialists AARP interviewed. And while niche sites that cater to certain religions, interests and even food tastes can be enticing, experts say to always pair hunting on those platforms with a single that has broader appeal. « The swimming pool on these niche websites is obviously bigger, » says Hoffman.
